![]() In the season of Easter and Resurrection, of transition and change, we have hope. “By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3 NRSV). My family and I look forward to walking together with you on this Holy Highway. Our heavenly Father has placed us in a community of our sisters and brothers who walk together with Christ. Yes, transitions can be awkward, but you are not in this alone. Is the pastor going to be a hardline, clergy collar-wearing, strict Pastor?□OR a loving, humility-filled, clergy collar-wearing pastor? Then our hearts are filled with all the laughter, tears, hope, and joy that was shared with Reverend Bill and, a bit of sadness may overcome our hearts. The congregation is full of anticipation while waiting to see who the new pastor of the church will be. Thank you for everything Reverend Bill!Īt times, pastoral transitions can be awkward. It speaks towards his love and dedication for you. Reverend Bill has been amazing through this transition period for FUMC of Luling. I am excited to have this opportunity to reach out and say hi. Hi, FUMC of Luling! My name is Reverend Jesse Franklin and this is my family: Amy (wife), Everly (daughter), and Jesse (son). It was a lovely service and I am thankful to the Conference for making it special. There is excitement in the Conference about our new beginnings. We prayed, sang, worshipped and fellowshipped. Folks, this is great outreach for the church and great fun in doing so. Pastor Bill did it last year so we need someone to take over this year. We also will need someone to organize this event. The ice can go into the chest freezer in the Fellowship Hall. We will need a Pop-up pavilion, tables, chairs, youth or children to advertise with signs, ice chest, ice, ice, ice, and water. ![]() We are in need of several items to be organized for giving out water and snow cones. So come on to church on Sunday, and hear Esther play one more time. She has brought us such beautiful music these past two years and we will miss her. We wish Esther well and pray for her success. And speaking of music, we are also celebrating our music director, Esther Park, who is going to the University of Oklahoma to pursue her doctorate in choral conducting. ![]()
